This week was a Lola deep dive week for me. I had previously posted about my obsession/discovery around her first album and Gilga radio and I’m entirely ashamed to admit that i missed she’s dropped TWO albums (2024’s This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway and last week’s I’m Only F**king Myself) since I last checked in with her and both are just absolute bangers. I really really liked her first and its not often that I see artists continue to up their game while being authentic to who they are. Lola just really delivers and I’m super obsessed with her Adele/Amy Winehouse and general ‘fuck it’ here’s what i want to say and write and sing about attitude and makes it work.
I’ll just let the music speak for itself – she’s just awesome.
