I really don’t remember when I heard about Gangs of Youth, an alternative/indie band out of Sydney, Australia – but i do remember grabbing their stuff immediately for later listening, which is not an uncommon thing that happens in my life.. and then getting busy, or finding something else to listen to, and the band drops out of immediate view from the ‘recently added’ pile and then I ultimately forget about them.. (also, not an uncommon thing that happens).
Well, this morning was finally this morning and HOLY CRAP what a vibe. This band kicks ass. Do you want a poppier/more groovy/more introspective Snow Patrol? With a bit of U2? With great strings? and a singer that reminds me a bit of Leonard Cohen (but just so much better?) I’ve SLEPT on this group. And happy to share with them with you all.
