Lacey Sturm – Impossible
Well, Lacey is back with some new tunes, y’all, and frankly I love the stuff. For those of you who don’t remember.. Lacey had abruptly left the band she helped form in Flyleaf after growing tired of constant tours and some heavy personal battles.
While I was actually really impressed with how Flyleaf carried on with Kristin May as the lead (especially as I wasn’t too impressed with the final effort with Lacey in Flyleaf), I was more excited to see some new stuff from a solo Lacey group, who was actually pushed into it from her husband.
Life Screams, her 2015 album is pretty clutch and the cover of Roxanne is pretty solid too. AND, in doing some quick research for the post today, learned that Kristin has left Flyleaf! As of August of 2016, citing differences and never truly feeling like a member of the band… How sad! The end of an era for Flyleaf… hopefully Lacey will be able to keep her musical pursuits going!
