Ghosts and Vodka

As promised from the Victor blog, we are officially taking a step back from his latest release Invisible Cinemas.

One of earlier groups that he helped with guitarist Sam Zurick was a band called Ghosts and Vodka where they released a small EP and two full lengths around the 2000s. As soon as the group had formed and released their few songs… it quickly split and both Zurick and Villareal went on to work on various side projects eventually leading Victor back to his solo work mentioned a few blogs back. The only CD I was able to locate fairly easily was their last release, Addicts and Drunks. If anyone has the knowledge where I can find their earlier stuff please send me a PM or leave a comment below!

Ghosts and Vodka – It’s All About Right Then

(don’t forget, you can also find the newest tracks added to the Spotify playlist by clicking the Spotify playlist link on the right side of the blog!)

The bands music can described as math rock/instrumental rock/post-rock/indie/emo…essentially, any label you want to apply to the group will work just fine. I highly recommend picking up the CD yourself and dive into the musicality. If only I had found them about 12 years ago. Makes you feel old at times doesn’t it?
