Hahah… couldn’t resist posting one more rock cover.
Before Evanescence took that few years hiatus back in 2006 for some personal reasons, they first released their live CD, Anywhere But Home which took place in Paris.. In between some of their hits, they played this new song that I hadn’t recognized previously.
Little did I know after doing some digging that it was actually of a cover.. Of Korn!? The all-american nu-metal band? I’ve posted an acoustic version of the song below..
Now, I do understand and appreciate what Korn has done for the music industry.. They helped introduce dub-step here, among bringing angst and popularizing drop C riffs with light raps throughout their songs. However, I’m definitely glad Evanescence did the cover.. Would never have discovered the original version of the song with them and Amy Lee plugging away on her piano.
