Have to share about a current love of mine. Well, ok – lets back up. The Proposal? Ryan Reynolds? Sandra Bullock? Remember that opening scene of the movie? With cool awesome piano music in the background, a soultry voice, rocking band?
Yea – that’s Gabe Dixon. His group formed from the University of Miami back in ‘98.. Imagine a Ben Folds/Elton John/Jackson Browne? type sound and just really very good music. The guy has even turned down a full-time gig as Paul McCartney’s touring keyboardist! He music really comes through their CDs well – as the group released a number of very well-done CDs and live Eps, Gabe has finally released his very first solo album called One Spark, just a few weeks back. Get excited, below is a fun mix of his live talents from a news broadcast a few days ago – he plays guitar for the first half and piano second. Pretty fun to hear his talents on one of the poppier songs of the CD.
