Dedicated Music Discovery Friday time comes along pretty rarely for me these days as there is typically so much stuff I already know is coming out on a given week that i’m excited to listen to, and the ‘bands i should probably check out someday’ list continues to grow and grow and grow.
Well, this past Friday I was in the mood for something I hadn’t heard back, and GOON was the name that showed up first on the list for me so i just jumped right in, and .. was really intrigued? It’s weird, but also quite good? Think like, grunge indie, alternative rock with some lo-fi textures and psychedelic tones? It’s quite good and definitely worth sharing, so that’s what i’m doing today!
Honestly, to my typically-unfamiliar-to-these-genres-ears, it’s like Radiohead and the Margot Nuclear So and So’s had a baby.
