yes… but?
It’s always interesting to me when a single gets released so that is SO different than the rest of the album which includes it. ‘yes, and?’ is a fine track. It’s fun, it interpolates Madonna’s Vogue, and brings one back to that genre a bit. I thought it was going to be a good direction for Ari – all these artists are doing their own different voices/eras (Beyonce with country, Taylor with her continuing shifts, Dua going back to disco-ish era, Gaga going with Tony Bennett? and Ari taking Madonna’s vogue?… okay, i could buy that. Sign me up. Bring on everlasting sunshine.

Have listened like, three times. THE ALBUM IS LITERALLY NOTHING LIKE YES, AND?
…
WHYYYYYYYYY
WHY do artists do this?
Man. I like everlasting sunshine. I do! It’s a solid house, r&b, good driving base lines, with just the right hint of electronic (imogen-esque) elements throughout. A decent enough continuation/maturation step from Positions. Tons of good tracks. But it’s not yes, and?! And that it particularly is so completely a different song that than rest of the album.. just rubs me so the wrong way. Why the heck is it included? Cause her team didn’t think these other songs could stand on its own? Cause they wanted to capitalize on this ‘major pop artist shift’ thing? Would absolutely love to learn. Cause my mind just gets broken when this kinda stuff happens. Quite enjoy the below from the album btw. Happy Listening..
one of my favorites is below…
