Thank You Scientist – Mr. Invisible
For those who know me personally (and readers of this blog for years), you know that ska holds an incredibly large grasp on my heart.
So, when a rock group like Coheed & Cambria, can combine skills with Snarky Puppy, YOU KNOW I’M JUST GOING TO OBSESS OVER IT – which is exactly what I’ve done here. Thank You Scientist. Holy cow what a band and such an interesting/unique sound. These guys shred. The horns are so tight and crisp. The vocals just soar. When I want a rock breakdown, its there. When I feel like a jazz funk fusion guitar riff, sure enough. How about horn solos? Yea, you’ve got them in spades.
Pretty cool to see these guys get signed to Claudio’s (Coheed’s frontman) new label Evil Ink. I’m going to have to check out some of the other bands he’s signed as of late. Hooray for ska rock! Hooray! Stay in school, kids!
