With my repeated listening of Taylor’s 1989 finally starting to get to my head.. and with my girl Katy not giving me a new single to fall in love with (where you at Katy??) I had to find someone else to fill the void. I feel bad to be cheating on both of them but I’m sorry.. had to be done.
From the American Idol stage comes Tori Kelly and the above song is darn great. I know her fans are slightly upset it’s so much more produced than her quieter acoustic tracks of past but I think it’s a great, great track. I can’t remember a single lately that breaks the chorus down quietly and has snapping embedded throughout. Tori’s vocal range is also delightful and reminds me a lot of early Christina A.
So, yea.. I’m obsessed with the song above, AND the song below.
