Xero – Xero EP
It’s Throwback Thursday! I had no idea Linkin Park had a small band prior to their mainstream success! Above is Xero, which was a rebranding of their first band name, SuperXero.. It does feature Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson, but Chester hadn’t yet entered the scene and the singer vocalist responsibility was Mark Wakefield who left to manage Taproot through their rise.
Following his entrance into the group, Mike and Chester really connected and they quickly changed their band to ‘Hybrid Theory’ which some of you may recognize was the name of their debut album, in tribute to their old band name once they officially became known as Linkin Park.
I’ll admit that the above isn’t the hottest (nor best sounding) stuff out there, it’s not difficult to hear some of the early roots of LP.. Pretty fun find this morning.
