Let’s take this in three places. From the death of a favorite and the re-uniting of a classic, let’s move onwards towards discovery.
Night Verses.
They officially formed in 2012 and I was immediately drawn to the band due to the lead singer, Douglas Robinson whose voice has been engrained in my mind ever since first hearing him in his first band, the Sleeping, from my Guitar Hero 3 days (want to check out that song? Click HERE). It’s a gritty but raw voice, full of passion and balance, and never afraid to step out of range and just get his emotions known. Incorporating his vocals into a group that had originally planned to be instrumental certainly has it challenges as the rest of the members came from The Sound Archives, a band I certainly intend on checking out in the coming days.
Their debut CD ‘Life Your Existence’ comes out June 25th, but until then, go ahead and download their original EP for free on their website: www.nightverses.com.
