This guys (and now girl officially) in the video below show my new discovery, This Love. Although the name is pretty meh to me, I have to say, I really do love their sound and musicianship. I was able to find their latest CD AT WAR and have a been a LARGE, LARGE fan of their concept album.. Including an intro, interlude, and outro which I normally don’t enjoy, but are certainly a fan of on this record. The CD is a story.. A build-up, a tear-down, a true message that they are trying to convey through the music.. All in all, I think it’s a great CD.. A quick quote from their vocalist Joe McFaddin on the theme of their music: “the venture to become the person that the world needs you to be, fighting the right fight to get to where you need to be and not taking no for an answer.”
Kinda refreshing, don’t you think?
I haven’t been able to find too much about them outside of the fact that they hail from Dayton, Ohio and just released this CD that you can find at the link above in August.. A few shows have transpired since then, but nothing too much out of the camp. I will definitely go back in a few days and try and hit up their older CD, Beginnings, but until then .. Enjoy the videos below and Happy-Finding-a-new-Band-Day!
