Emarosa – Cloud 9

Sometimes just discovering a strong alternative rock band makes me happy. Doesn’t need to be ridiculously technical, heavy/soft, a head-voice singer, but just good rock, you know? Emarosa has recently fit that bill just perfectly for me. These guys have been through a ton of vocalist changes like Johnny Craig and Tillian Pearson and even dropped some of the post-hardcore roots of early EPs, but I think they’ve found a great stride in their last two CDs, Versus and 131. The mix of ER White and Bradley Walden works great and I hope this core group can stay together and continue to rock on.
