Another new band discovery this week folks! We are two for two! I’ve just downloaded from iTunes and am happily listening to Life Between Sleep’s newest EP, Storms. I can’t say I’m normally the biggest fan of Long Island bands, but Life has enough in them to remain independent from the normal straight-pop-punk genre of LI.
The group has actually been around since ‘07 and been invited to play on the Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos with some pretty largely notable groups throughout the almost 6-year career.
The Storms EP is pretty significant. Strong guitars, a vocalist who’s solid and a little rough on the edges (in a good way), and the drums providing a strong rhythm section throughout. All in all, it’s a good CD and I was happy to buy it.
